Channel Seven starlet edges Lara Bingle out of Oz game show

By Staff

Melbourne, Apr.19 : Australian model and would be Mrs Michael Clarke, Lara Bingle has failed to bag the role of an anchor of the Australian game show Wheel of Fortune.

According to news.com.au, former Seven starlet Holly Brisley has reportedly been selected as the co-host after running rings around the Cronulla stunner in the auditions.

Despite her made-for-TV looks and sunny persona, Bingle failed to impress producers of the newly named Million Dollar Wheel, with a Nine spokeswoman yesterday revealing the model would not be given a second spin to win the role.

"We are doing call backs over the next few weeks and Lara will not be one of the girls coming back for a second audition," the spokeswoman said.

To ensure the fit is right for the coveted co-hosting gig, Nine has been hosting a cattle-call for the country's top glamour girls over the past week, with more than 700 starlets applying for the role.

Among those lining up to be the next Adriana Xenides are It Takes Two performer Chloe Maxwell, radio gal Lizzy Lovette, model Ali Mutch and one-time lipgloss queen Gemma Gawned.

However the blonde bombshell said to spinning top dollar in the audition process is former Home and Away actress Holly Brisley, specifically due to her on-screen chemistry with Million Dollar Wheel host Tim Campbell.

The pair formerly worked together on the Seven soap, with the lovely Brisley likely to leave her Channel 7 roots behind and permanently defect to the Nine Network.
