Shyam Sharma's 29th solo exhibition kicks-off

Mumbai, Apr 18 (UNI) The 29th sOlo exhibition of paintings by nationally acclaimed artist Shyam Sharma got underway here at the Art Desh studio, Tardeo.

At the launch of his exhibition held yesterday, among the celebrities present were actor Aanjjan Srivastava, Kapil Khadiwala, Subhash Ghai's discovery Vikrant Chaturvedi, Swatantra Kumar of Ghai's Yuvraj, Preeti Jain and Gaurav Chanana.

Gary Richardson, Ganesh Venkatraman and Tarana Singh performed a eight- minute interactive comedy skit 'Got to be Love!' and Madhusudan gave a splendid seven-minute Sitar performance.

Senior artists Prithvi Soni and actor Aanjjan inaugurated the show lighting the lamp. Other artists like Amisha Mehta, Gautam Patole, Reena Patel, Surendra Jagtap, Raghu Neware and M Shankar were also present to support their colleague.

''Shyam Sharma is a man deion to earth and simple in nature.

His simplicity is witnessed in his work. More than a painter, he is a complete human-being and a good friend.'' Soni said.

Sharma, who was overwhelmed with the response he received, while talking about his exhibition said, ''Spiritual Synthesis is a collection of 15 figurative paintings, displayed here, on Lord Buddha, Krishna and of our simple day-to-day life. In my work, the texture is always important.'' The exhibition will open till April 26.
