JK: One-way traffic on Srinagar-Jammu NH

Srinagar, Apr 18: For smooth movement of vehicles carrying Darbar move officials from Jammu to summer capital, Srinagar, authorities have decided to allow only one-way traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway on April 26-27 and May 3-4.

The office of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and his Cabinet colleagues and other bureaucrats will close at Jammu on April 25 to reopen here on May 5.

An official spokesman said in connection with the annual Darbar move from Jammu to Srinagar, one way traffic from Jammu to Srinagar would be allowed on April 26 and 27.

Similarly, on May 3 and 4, no vehicle from Srinagar to Jammu would be allowed to ply on the national highway.

The authorities have decided to set up medical camps at different places on the highway during these days.

Additional security forces would be deployed on the highway, they said.
