Ashley Tisdale in talks to star in Teen Witch remake

Washington, Apr 18 : Actress Ashley Tisdale is in talks to star in a remake of 1989 movie 'Teen Witch,' to be produced by Tom Cruise's United Artists.

The musical flick, originally starring Robin Lively in the lead role, revolves around Louise Miller, an unpopular high schooler who discovers she descended from Salem's pointy-nosed finest and has the black magic prowess to prove it, reports E! Online.

A start date has yet to be set as the script has not been written till now.

Meanwhile, the 'High School Musical' star is also in talks to produce a Disney series based on her prefame life as a mall employee.

According to Variety, under the not-yet-final deal, Tisdale would also be developing unscripted shows for Fremantle aimed towards a younger demographic and herself would remain behind the cameras.
