Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) A smart shower accompanied by hailstorm in Patna and its suburbs this afternoon brought down the mercury considerably bringing the much awaited relief to the denizens from the hot and humid weather.
The rains lashed several parts of north Bihar, including state capital Patna. 24 mm of rainfall was recorded here. Other parts of the state also received heavy showers that brought the mercury level down.
The local met office recorded the day's maximum temperature at 35.2 degree Celsius and the minimum 25.6, while the maximum relative humidity was pegged at 73 per cent.
The Met office also said the city may witness thunder showers later tonight.
