Night temperatures in HP fall after rain and snow

Shimla, Apr 17 (UNI) Despite a clear sunny day and increase in temperatures, the hill state of Himachal Pradesh continued to experience cold wave-like conditions.

The minimum temperature in Shimla today was recorded at 7.3 degrees Celsius and maximum at 20.4 degrees. The capital hill resort received 18 mm of rains during the last 24 hours.

After the prolonged spell of rough weather, which lingered for more than a week, tourists and local residents in Shimla town were spotted huddling at various places and enjoying the sunshine.

Sundernagar in Mandi district had minimum temperature at 8.3 degree Celsius and maximum at 30.2 degree Celsius with a recorded rainfall of 3 mm, while Bhunter recorded minimum temperature at 5.4 degree and maximum at 24.0 degree. It received 10 mm of rains.

The minimum temperature in Dharamshala was 10.3 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees. The town at the foothills of the Dauladhar ranges received 15 mm of rainfall.

The minimum temperatures in Nahan was at 20.8 degrees, Mandi and Una at 9.6 degree.

In the tribal district of Kinnaur, Kalpa recorded minimum temperature at minus 2.2 degree and received 3 mm of rains.
