Indian, Royal Navy's joint naval exercise from Apr 20
Mumbai Apr 17 (UNI) Indian Navy and Royal Navy of the United Kingdom will organise a 13-day joint naval exercise, Konkan-08, in the Arabian sea near Goa from April 20.
Altogether, 12 ships from the Royal Navy Task Group comprising HMS Illustrious, HMS Westminster, USS Cole and Spanish Naval Ship SPS Mendez Nunez, will participate in this naval exercise, an official release issued here today stated.
INS Mysore, INS Rajput, INS Gomati, and other fleet units including submarine and Naval helicopters and aircraft are scheduled to participate from the Indian side in this major exercise.
Deputy High Commissioner of the UK in India and the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Fleet, are scheduled to watch the joint exercise on April 23.
