Ramkumar Ramanathan defeated Abdurasai Nazirov 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets yesterday in the first singles to hand India the lead.
Ronit Bisht increased the margin as he blanked Bakhodur Faridun with an identical scoreline in the second singles.
Bisht then joined Digvijay Singh Mehta to down Nazirov and Faridun 6-0, 6-0 in the doubles.
India, who are the top seeds, will take on Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals of the Asia-Oceania leg for a berth in the World Group final to be held in Prostejov, Czech Republic, in August.
