New Delhi, Apr 17: Pawan Hans plans to build heliport at Delhi, Noida and Gurgoan for providing short distance helicopter services, the Lok Sabha was informed today. This is subject to allotment of land by the state governments concerned, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said in a written reply. Pawan Hans has engaged a consultant to make business plans for the next ten years, including requirement for financial and human resources and the funding plan.

There are no plans to privatise any existing airport in the country, Mr Patel said. The modernisation of Dum Dum airport, Kolkata, is likely to be completed by June 2010, he added.

Foreign pilots will not be given authorisation after May 31 unless adequate justification is provided by the operator. This will help in phasing out foreign pilots and enabling absorption of Indian co-pilots, the Minister said.
The Government is in the process of finalising a policy for attracting new investments in the fertilizer sector, both within and outside the country, Minister of State for Fertilisers B K Hnadique said.

At this stage, the Government is looking into various options for offtake of urea from joint venture abroad, aimed at encouraging setting up of joint venture capacities outside the country.
