Helicopter services b/w Delhi, Noida, Gurgoan
New Delhi, Apr 17: Pawan Hans plans to build heliport at Delhi, Noida and Gurgoan for providing short distance helicopter services, the Lok Sabha was informed today. This is subject to allotment of land by the state governments concerned, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said in a written reply. Pawan Hans has engaged a consultant to make business plans for the next ten years, including requirement for financial and human resources and the funding plan.
There are no plans to privatise any existing airport in the country, Mr Patel said. The modernisation of Dum Dum airport, Kolkata, is likely to be completed by June 2010, he added.
Foreign
pilots
will
not
be
given
authorisation
after
May
31
unless
adequate
justification
is
provided
by
the
operator.
This
will
help
in
phasing
out
foreign
pilots
and
enabling
absorption
of
Indian
co-pilots,
the
Minister
said.
The
Government
is
in
the
process
of
finalising
a
policy
for
attracting
new
investments
in
the
fertilizer
sector,
both
within
and
outside
the
country,
Minister
of
State
for
Fertilisers

K
Hnadique
said.
At this stage, the Government is looking into various options for offtake of urea from joint venture abroad, aimed at encouraging setting up of joint venture capacities outside the country.
