Admn taking steps to decongest traffic : CM
Puducherry, Apr 17 (UNI) The Puducherry administration is taking steps to decongest traffic here, Chief Minister N Rangasamy told the Legislative Assembly today.
Replying to a question, he said the administration would take measures to construct over bridges and lay bypass roads after obtaining the recommendations of an export committee.
Stating that the Central prison at the heart of the town would be shifted to Kalapet in two months, he said construction of a multi-storied parking place would be considered since some institutions have come forward to construct it.
A fresh tender would be floated to complete the Ariyankuppam bridge, he informed.
Industries Minister V Vaithilingam, replying to a question, said apart from 688 anganwadis, 100 more would be set up in a couple of months in the Union Territory.
Education Minister M O H F Sahajahan, answering a question, said dictionary and bags would be given to all school children here in June.
