Rahul visits Vindhyavasini temple
Tikamgarh, Apr 16: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today paid obeisance at the famous Vindhyavasini Devi temple here. During his surprise visit to the drought-hit Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Gandhi stopped his vehicle in front of the 400-year-old temple and offered short prayers while remaining in the vehicle.
He did not enter the temple. Rahul's grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had visited this temple in 1979 when she was out of power. Later, the temple priest was given the party ticket and was elected to the Assembly.
