Nitish misleading masses to extract political mileage: Deepankar
Bettiah, Apr 16 (UNI) CPI(ML) general secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya today accused the Nitish Kumar government of misleading the masses to extract political mileage in the name of development for the oppressed sections of the society.
While addressing the state level meeting of the party here, Mr Bhattacharya alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was misleading the people in the name of launching special welfare schemes for Pasmanada Muslims and Mahadalits.
''The announcement of welfare schemes for the most oppressed sections of the society is nothing but an attempt of the NDA government to extract political mileage ahead of the elections,'' he said.
He also alleged that such schemes were devoid of any concrete measures to provide succour to the lowest strata of the society.
''The CPI(ML) has prepared its own blueprint for development of Bihar and it should be propagated by party leaders at different forums, including the Assembly and various Panchayats,'' he said, adding that the CPI(ML) was committed to protecting the interests of farmers and weaker sections of the society while preparing the plan for development of Bihar.
''Any attempt of the state government to acquire fertile land of farmers and poor in the name of development would not be tolerated by the party,'' he stated.
