Dhumal lays foundation stone of water supply scheme
Bilaspur, Apr 16 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today laid foundation stone of a drinking water supply scheme in Badol Devi in the district.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that a sum of Rs 1.90 crore have been earmarked for the drinking water supply scheme,and added that funds would be made available as per the requirement and progress of the work.
He assured the people that the scheme would be dedicated to the residents of the area within 18 months and ensure safe drinking water to 8000 persons of the area.
Irrigation and Public Health Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi thanked Chief Minister for laying foundation stone of the Water Supply Scheme, which would be completed in a record time.
He said that 2,000 handpumps would be bored during current financial year and added that Rs 12.5 crore were being spent on IPH activities in the area during current financial year.
