APCC chief asks district leaders to send reports

Hyderabad, Apr 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President D Srinivas today directed the District Party Presidents and town Congress Presidents to send monthly reports about the party programmes in their areas.

In a letter to the functionaries, a copy of which was released to the press here, he asked them to take all measures to strengthen the party to face future challenges.

He also asked the leaders and the workers to strive hard for the successful implementation of the Rs 2 a Kg rice scheme, launched by the state government for the benefit of the poor, and asked them to form a five-member committee with atleast two women members, to supervise the distribution of rice at every ration shop.

''It is the responsibility of every party worker to get the details of the farmers, who would benefit by the debt relief announced by the union government and to forward them to the Government'', he said.

He said the party would soon conduct district and town committee meetings. He also asked them to enroll the names of eligible people in the voters list as the Election Commission would start enumeration of voters list from May one to July 14.
