Another woman involved in acid attack: Police
Gulbarga, Apr 16 (UNI) The case of an acid attack on a woman yesterday took an interesting turn with the police investigation revealing the involvement of another woman behind the crime.
Talking to UNI here today, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural) C K Baba said the culprit Jayashri allegedly had an illicit relationship with a school teacher, who was running a school in Jewargi, about 40 km from here.
The victim Akkamma, a widow, who had came to the school to pick up her children, was moving closely with the teacher.
Enraged over this, Jayashri hired a criminal to throw acid on Akkamma.
The victim was admitted to the Basaweswara Teaching Hospital.
The culprits would be arrested soon, Mr Baba said.
