New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after members of the Opposition, including the Left, raised an uproar on the spiralling price rise of essential commodities, while some of them rushed into the well of the House.
The House was forced to adjourned twice in the morning - the first for half-an-hour till 1130 hrs and second time, for the day - as the slogan-shouting members of the House barring the ruling UPA parties continued to stand on their feet.
Shouting anti-government slogans, the Samajwadi Party trooped into the well of the House charging the UPA government of its inability to control the price rise.
Some of them demanded resignation of the government on the failure to keep the prices under check that had made the life of the common man miserable.
Earlier, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh introduced to members of the House, the seven new ministers recently inducted into his cabinet. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was also present in the House.
