Judicial custody of SIMI activists extended

Hubli, Apr 15 (UNI) The Judicial custody of seven suspected SIMI activists, including Kerala-based Yahya Kamakutty, was extended till April 28 when the accused were produced before the JMFC Magistrate here today.

Police produced before JMFC Magistrate Srinivas, suspected SIMI activists Riyazuddin, Asadulla Abubakar, M Asif, Shakeel Mali, Allabaksha, Yahya Kamakutty and Syed Sadiq Sameer and prayed for the extension of judicial custody.

The Magistrate also issued body warrants to five other suspected terrorists, lodged in Indore Central Jail, to bring them here for interrogation in connection with the extremist activities allegedly planned to be carried out in Karantaka.
