JD(U) demands PM's resignation on price rise issue
Patna, Apr 15 (UNI) Holding the UPA government at the Centre squarely responsible for the soaring prices, the JD(U) today demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's immediate resignation for failing to control the situation.
After a meeting of the JD(U) state executive and district presidents, party state president and MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh told newspersons here that the common people were finding it difficult to make both ends meet following the escalating prices of essentials.
He exhorted the people to strive for installation of NDA government at the Centre in order to control the prices.
Mr Singh said the leaders of the party also condemned the attack on Biharis outside the state and alleged that the present government at the Centre was unable to handle such issues.
He said the party would hold district level and block level dharna against rising prices on May 5 and 12.
