Narang shines as Indians disappoint at shooting World Cup

Beijing, Apr 14 (UNI) Indian marksman Gagan Narang clinched the bronze medal in the 10-metre Air Rifle event at the International Sports Shooting Federation (ISSF) World Cup here today.

Narang shot a score of 700.3 (597+103.3). Chinese shooter Qinan Zhu won the gold medal (700.8) while the silver went to Matthew Emmons of the US (700.7).

The other Indians in the fray, Abhinav Bindra and PT Raghunath shot a disappointing 595 and 594 to finish 18th and 20th, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the women's Trap event, India's Shagun Chowdhary and Seema Tomar finished at the 31st and 40th positions respectively.
