Baisakhi celebrated in Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Recitation of bhajan kirtans, along with fairs today marked the celebration of Baisakhi in the capital city.
On the occasion of Baisakhi, several cultural programmes and fairs are organised in several parts of the city.
The melody of Punjabi folk songs, to the beats of the Bhangra, rent the air, as the Punjabis all over the city soaked themselves into the spirit of the festival.
Recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahab and Nitnem marked the Baisakhi celebrations at various Gurdwaras across the city with a huge congregation of Sikhs, for whom this is an auspicious day.
Baisakhi is a day when the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, brought Guru Nanak's mission to completion and represented Gods in the from of the Khalsa.
