Kohima, Apr 13 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has said the Nagas must forgive and reconcile with each other to bring solution to the protracted Naga political issue for peace and development.
Participating in the felicitation programme organised by the Angami Public Organisation (APO) for the elected representatives here yesterday, Mr Rio informed that there were many developmental activities in the pipeline.
''People should utilise the government's declaration of Year of Capacity Building 2008-09 by upgrading and renewing their skills through training in the mainland or abroad,'' he added.
Mr Rio also urged the civil societies to extend their support to the government on various developmental fronts and suggested the women organisations to take charge of ensuing cleanliness, while he urged the youth to assist in maintaining law and order.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagaland Urban Development Minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu said the Nagas should forget election rivalries and start a new plan ahead for development.
Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie also appealed to the Angami public to lend a helping hand in their ventures while seeking their advice on common welfare.
