Two more SIMI activists arrested
Indore, Apr 12: In its ongoing drive against the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Madhya Pradesh police today arrested two more SIMI activists from Indore.
City Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh said Mohammed Shahid and Burhanpur-resident Syed Iqbal were arrested today. They were involved in raising money for SIMI. Syed had been arrested earlier also for allegedly having connections with SIMI.
So far, police have arrested about 50 SIMI activists and supporters from various parts of Madhya Pradesh, including 22 from Indore, in the past fortnight.
