Six militants killed in past 24 hrs, jawan injured
Imphal, Apr 12 (UNI) Six militants were killed in police encounter at different areas of Manipur during the past 24 hours.
Police today said two militants were killed at Bishnupur district last evening.
One nine mm pistol with three live rounds of ammunition, one M20 pistol, one mobile handset and ten letter heads of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) outfit were recovered from them, police informed.
In another incident three NSCN-K and one NSCN-IM cadre were killed at Tamenglong yesterday.
Meanwhile, a jawan of the 44th Assam Rifles was injured in an IED blast yesterday at Old Samtal in Ukhrul district and was admitted to a military hospital in Leimakhong, police said.
