WFI selects Indian team for Olympic Qualifiers

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Commonwealth Gold medalist Manoj Kumar will spearhead an eight-member Indian team for the first and second Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.

While the first Olympic Qualifying Tournament will be held in Rome from May 9-11, the second will be at Novi Sad (Serbia) from May 23-25.

The team was selected after trials conducted by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) at Jalandhar yesterday.

The team: 55 kg: Joginder, 60 kg: Ravinder Singh, 66 kg: Gurbinder Singh, 74 kg: Rajbir Singh, 84 kg: Manoj Kumar, 96 kg: Satish Kumar, 120 kg: Anil Kumar.
