Kohima, Apr 11 (UNI) The Naga Students' Federation(NSF) has appealed to the Governor and Chief Rector of Nagaland University to ensure restoration of educational activities following the agitation of the the Nagaland University Teachers' Association(NUTA) against the Vice Chancellor.

In a release issued here today, NSF president Imchatoba Imchen and general secretary Hetoi Chishi said the NSF had urged the Chief Rector to intervene immediately by inviting the Fact Finding Committee at the earliest.

''The NSF is deeply disappointed at the total disregard of the welfare of the student community and people of the Northeastern region by the Centre and the silence regarding the institution of the Fact Finding Committee for probing the current situation in the NU,'' the release stated.

The student leaders alleged that the anomalies and apathetic administration of the Vice Chancellor and his subordinates had been highlighted by the NUTA and the student community.

The NSF stated that the NUTA should not agitate by closing all academic activities but adopt other measures for the welfare of the students, the release added.
