Patna, Apr 11 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Human Resources Development M A A Fatmi today announced that a model school, on the lines of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, will be opened in each and every block of the country.
Mr Fatmi told mediapersons here that the proposed schools will have education and boarding facilities as that of Navodaya and Central schools across the country.
''The number of Kasturba Gandhi residential schools has increased to 390 to cater the needs of girl students of the state,'' he said adding the Centre had also cleared a proposal for opening 40 more such schools in Bihar.
Mr Fatmi assured that the Centre would provide full financial assistance to state government for implementation of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.
''During the last fiscal, the Centre had provided Rs 6,000 crores for the said scheme while Rs 3,300 crores been released this fiscal itself,'' he added.
