The Proteas added 96 runs in the post-lunch session but they also lost three crucial wickets in 30 overs.

Frequent changes of bowling by Indian skipper Dhoni paved the way for the much needed second breakthrough when Yuvraj took the wicket of skipper Graeme Smith.

Smith, who hit a six of Yuvraj after the first drink interval, was caught at the short leg by Jaffer. Smith was on 69 with 8 boundaries and two sixes.

However, Hashim Amla, who completed his half century in 91 balls was bowled by Ishant Sharma soon after.

SA lost their fourth wicket when Jacques Kallis, who had scored only one run, was bolwed by Harbhajan Singh.

The third and fourth wicket of SA fell when the score was at 160 and 161 runs respectively.

Going into the tea break, Ashwell Prince was not out on 10 and A B De Velliers was on 3 runs.
