Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) The Haryana government has launched a Health Check-up Campaign in the schools to examine the health of children between the age group of 5 to 15 years under the National Rural Health Mission.
Disclosing this an official spokesman of the Health Department said that this campaign was launched to assess dental and eye problems and take into account the levels of anaemia and malnutrition amongst the children and to provide them with free medication.
He said that in this campaign the children would be educated about the nutritional value of food, importance of proper diet and basic hygiene. He said that such campaigns help in timely detection of disease in children and about their remedies.
