Cong only well wisher of dalits: Jaiswal

Bareilly, Apr 11 (UNI) Terming the as the only ''well wisher'' of the Dalit community, Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal today said the party would never hestitate to make a ''dalit'' the Prime Minister.

''Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati is eyeing to become the first dalit PM, but she will never succeed in her attempts,'' Mr Jaiswal said addressing the media here.

The Congress was the only party that works for the benefits of dalits, and great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar had proved this, he claimed.
