BJP legal wing chief threatens to quit party
Bangalore, Apr 11 (UNI) Karnataka BJP Legal Wing president M Vasanthrao today threatened to quit the party if he was not given a ticket to contest the ensuing Assembly elections.
Taking strong exception to the party giving ticket to former Minister R Ashok, he said he had been an honest worker of the party for 25 years and denied ticket several times.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Vasantrao said ''it is highly regrettable that Mr Ashok, who is residing outside Padmanaba Nagar constituency, has been offered a ticket to contest the elections, which has resulted in unhappiness among the party workers,'' he added.
''As an honest and sincere party worker, I request to provide a chance to contest from Padmanabanagar otherwise it will be inevitable for the workers to take necessary steps,'' he added.
Mr
Vasantarao
