Two more SIMI activists held
Neemuch, MP, Apr 10 (UNI) In its ongoing drive against the proscribed Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Madhya Pradesh police today arrested two more activists from this district.
Besides, two more people are being interrogated Superintendent of Police Pramod Verma said four people have been brought to police station for interrogation on April 8. After intense grilling, Feroz Mohammed and Azhar Khan were arrested yesterday.
Both were presented before a local court, which sent them to judicial custody till April 17. The duo admitted that they joined SIMI through SIMI activist Afzal Parvez, who was arrested in Indore recently, he said.
Shabeer and Nadim were being interrogated, he said.
So far, police have arrested about 50 SIMI activists and supporters from various parts of Madhya Pradesh including 22 from Indore, in the past fortnight, he added.
