Tata to invest Rs 500 Cr in Assam
Guwahati, Apr 10: The Tata Telecom Service Limited (TTSL) will invest Rs 500 crore to upgrade the communication grid of the Assam Government.
An MoU was signed today on this aspect between the Assam Small Industry Development Corporation (ASIDC) and the TTSL in Jorhat this evening in presence of Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Industry Minister Pradyut Bardoloi.
The TTSL would invest Rs 500 crore over a period of next three years to upgrade the communication infrastructure of the state government.
Chief Minister Gogoi welcomed the investment saying such spending would go a long way in improving the basic infrastructure.
Assam Government runs with primitive communication system which is obsolete.
