London, Apr 10 : Kenny Baker, better known as Star Wars' R2-D2, was admitted to hospital after he mysteriously fell ill on a flight.
The 73-year-old star was flying back to England from a holiday in the US, when he was struck down by a mystery illness and was taken to hospital within moments of the plane's landing at Manchester Airport.
Pals of the pint-sized star feared him to be "seriously ill", but one of his family members claimed that he was on a recovery track and will be back at his home near Preston, Lancs, in a few days.
"Kenny's conscious and talking, hopefully he'll be absolutely fine," The Sun quoted a relative, as saying.
Kenny played droid R2-D2 in all the six of George Lucas' sci-fi flicks, starting with 1977's A New Hope.
