Sr advocate M Ravindran appointed ASGI
Chennai, Apr 10 (UNI) Senior advocate M Ravindran has been appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India (ASGI) for the Southern States by the Union Law and Justice Ministry for a period of two years with effect from today.
A release said Mr Ravindran would assume charge tomorrow afternoon in the Chambers of Additional Solicitor General here.
He succeeds Mr V T Gopalan, who resigned from the post last month.
Meanwhile, Mr Ravindran met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi this evening and sought his blessings.
