Rupee ends the session at 39.95 against USD
Mumbai, Apr 10: The Rupee today ended below the 40.00 level at 39.95 against the US Dollar, appreciating by nearly five paise from its previous close of 40.00/01 in a choppy session. The partially convertible Indian rupee hovered near the same level for most of the day in a narrow range band gap of 39.93 and 40.00 per dollar, before ending on a firm note in late trade despite the indian equity market closing on a negative note today, dealers said.

its
yesterday's
rate
of
Rs
40.02
per
USD.
The
six-month
premium
was
quoted
almost
lower
at
2.14
(2.20
per
cent
and
annualised
premium
ended
also
softer
at
1.56
(1.60)
per
cent.
The
Rupee
ended
the
session
at
63.27
(62.75)
against
the
Euro.
It
closed
at
78.95
(78.68))
per
unit
against
the
Pound
Sterling.
However,
Yen
finished
at
38.70
(38.90)
per
hundred
units
against
the
Japanese
Yen.
