Rosaiah flays TDP for belittling 2 kg rice scheme
Hyderabad, Apr 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today alleged that the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was trying to belittle the Rs two a kg rice scheme launched by the state government for the poor of the state.
Addressing a press conference here, he urged the TDP leaders to make it clear whether they wanted to see or not the scheme was implemented.
He said the scheme was launched in a transparent manner and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had warned officials and fair price shop dealers of stern action for misuse in its implementation.
Mr Rosaiah said TDP leaders were anticipating irregularities in its implementation as they had indulged in irregularities and misused the rice allotted by the Centre under the "food for work" programme during the TDP regime.
