Mah: Rane gets no respite on birthday
Mumbai, Apr 10: Estranged Shiv Sena leader and now revenue minister Narayan Rane did not get any respite on the occasion of his 56th birthsay today as his erstwhile party continued to harangue him in the Legislative Assembly over the Palghar land issue.
Leader of the Opposition Ramdas Kadam alleged that there had been large-scale corruption in the development of this land and held Mr Rane responsible. Heated verbal exchanges took place between Mr Rane and Mr Kadam over this.
Mr Kadam alleged that a talathi had been transferred so as to enable regularisation of the hutments. However, later Mr Rane told reporters that the talathi had been transferred on heatlh grounds.
