Kim Cattrall too sexy to play Radcliffe's mom in My Boy Jack

Washington, Apr 10 : Kim Cattrall almost missed out on playing Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe's mother in My Boy Jack - because she was too sexy to play Rudyard Kipling's stoic wife.

Cattrall was so keen to play Carrie Kipling in Brian Kirk's TV period movie My Boy Jack that she gathered all her least sexy roles in film and sent them to the director.

"I sent him Ice Princess, where I played a tough-ass skating coach, and a film of a David Mamet play I'd done in London," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"He (Kirk) admitted he'd been wrong and it turned out to be one of the happiest filming experiences I ever had," she added.

In 2003, the actress won a Golden Globe for her role in Sex and the City.
