Dubai sets record for world's longest chopsticks
Dubai, Apr 10 (UNI) World's longest wooden chopsticks are 22.5 feet long, placing one of the hotels here in the Guiness Book of World records.
With this, the pair of chopsticks has beaten the record of China's Shenyang Province.
The Guinness Book of World Records sent a certificate to Marco Polo Hotel here confirming the hotel's entry as the new longest wooden chopsticks in the world.
Hotel Vice President Sunil Marya said it took the hotel staff a month to prepare their record-breaking pair of chopsticks.
The hotel apparently made two pairs to be sure that the final entry measured up to everyone's expectations.
''It is really a tremendous feeling having this certificate and being in the book of world records, especially from Guinness, for the first time. I can say that all of our team's effort has paid off well,'' the Gulf News quoted Mr Marya as saying.
