Mah: Fire reduces electronic goods to ashes

Thane, Apr 10: A devastating fire in the godowns at Bhiwandi today reduced the stored electronic goods to ashes, a fire brigade officer said.

The fire broke out early today at the godown owned by Geo Logistics.

More than a dozen fire tenders fought the fire for over two hours before it was put out. However, the godowns suffered damage by then, police said.

According to initial reports, short circuit was the cause of the incident.

The exact losses caused by the fire is still not known, the police added.
