Central Secretariat employees slam 6th Pay panel recommedations
New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) The non-gazetted employees of the Central Secretariat today held a demonstration against the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission in the compound of the Planning Commission here, terming them as ''anti-employee''.
Addressing the gathering, General Secretary of the Employees' union Dalip Singh criticised the panel's recommendation to scrap the Group D services and demanded that the minimum basic pay for the Central Secretariat employees should be Rs ten thousand and stressed the need for a separate wage body for the Secretariat.
He also demanded opening of recruitment in the level of peon and lower division clerks and emphasised on the need to enhance the pay scales of the upper division clerks.
