Restore possession of Dhanyasree Resort to owners: HC
Kochi, Apr 9 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the State Government in an interim order to forthwith restore the possession of Dhanyasree Resorts and the upper tenant land in Munnar to its owners.
Mr Justice A K Basheer also ordered that the petitioners would be free to carry out repair works at their expense.
The government pleader submitted that he did not oppose the restoration of the resort as an interim measure.
The order was issued on a petition filed by Sreekumari Kavu and Dhanya, the owners of the resort, against the order issued by the Government, cancelling the 'patta' of the resort.
The court also appointed counsel Ashok Shenoy as the advocate commissioner to oversee the administration of the hotel and directed him to supervise the repair works.
The Devikulam Tahsildar was also appointed as the additional receiver. The commissioner and the Tahsildar would be at liberty to visit the property periodically.
The commissioner was also directed to report to the court about the affairs of the resort at least once a month.
