Varanasi, Apr 9: Swami Ramdev, one of the founders of the Divya Yoga Mandir Trust which aims to popularise Yoga and offer Ayurvedic treatment in the world, will now demonstrate his yoga exercises here.
The Yoga Guru will undertake a seven-day tour to the temple town of Varanasi from tomorrow to teach various yogic exercises to thousands of people, including foreigners.
Almost 60,000 students would take yoga classes from Ramdev on April 15 alone.
Beginning from April 11, the yoga camp would be organised in Dieesel Locomotive Factory compound under the aegis of Patanjali Yogapeeth, Hardwar.
During the six-day event, Ramdev would encourage people to do Pranayam, besides following a balanced diet and a vedic lifestyle.
Superintendent of Police (City) Rajeev Malhotra said since Swami Ramdev is a state guest, unprecedented security arrangements would be made around his yoga camp and the guest house.
Three companies of PAC and around 200 police personnel would be part of the security. Besides, 70 special security guards would also be garrisoned around the yoga camp, Mr Malhotra informed.
