Gulbarga, Apr 9 (UNI) The Jawargi town near here, which witnessed violent incidents following a robbery in a temple, is limping back to normalcy with no untoward incidents reported today.

Police, however, were still clueless about the Mahalakshmi temple robbery on Monday night, in which jewels and cash were taken.

Since it rained heavily on that night, the dog squad could not give any lead to the police, official sources said.

Speaking to UNI, Superintendent of Police Manish Kabirkar said Section 144 of CRPC would remain in force till tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, the town wore a deserted look as most of the business establishments remained closed today.

About 100 people, including Seer Sri Siddalingeshwara Swamy, who were arrested yesterday in the aftermath of violent incidents, were released on bail today.

An unruly mob went on rampage yesterday, damaging several vehicles and resorted to rasta roko.

Police lathicharged and lobbed tear gas to disperse the mob. The violent incidents had left 14 persons injured.
