India, Pak to resume Composite Dialogue Process from May 20
New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) After a long delay, India and Pakistan will resume the Composite Dialogue Process from May 20.
This will be the first high-level interaction between India and the newly-elected governent in Pakistan.
External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will travel to Islamabad for talks with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi for a review meeting of the Fourth Round of the CDP on May 21.
The visit will be preceded by the visit of Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon on May 20, the External Affairs Ministry said.
''External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Islamabad on May 21 to hold a review meeting of the 4th round of Composite Dialogue. The visit of the External Affairs Minister will be preceded by the visit of the Foreign Secretary on May 20,'' the Ministry said in a brief statement.
The last meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the two countries was held on January 17, 2006, when the External Affairs Minister held talks with his then Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri.
