Nashik, Apr 9 (UNI) The officials of district administration, along with policemen, today raided a company in Ambad industrial area of the city and seized furnish oil worth Rs 30 lakh from there.
According to sources, the raids by the officials of supply department continued today also. In one such raid on Sible company in the area, the officials seized furnish oil, a substance used for asphaltation, worth Rs 30 lakh. The work of registering a case in the matter was underway.
The officials conducted the raids on more than 100 places all over the district during the last two days. In the raids, they seized goods worth Rs 50 lakh and arrested 20 traders. Among the seized goods were foodgrains, pulses, LPG cylinders, kerosene and other household commodities.
During the two days, the raids were conducted on various establishments like hotels, bars, godowns and shops among others.
Meanwhile, district supplies officer Vivek Gaikwad today appealed all retail and wholesale traders to get the licences and avoid action.
