Australia to tour India in Oct for 4 Tests

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has today announced the schedule for the Test series against Australia in October-November this year.

After arriving in India on September 29, Australia will play a four-day practice match before the first Test in Bangalore from October 9-13.

The second Test will be played at Mohali from October 17-21 while third Test will commence from October 28 at Delhi before the fourth and final Test in Nagpur from November 5-9.

''The rivalry between Australia and India has developed into one of the most captivating contests in world cricket,'' Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland said in a statement.

''The 2007-08 series was highlighted by dramatic, brilliant cricket which added another chapter to the passionate competition between the world's two best Test playing nations.

''I'm sure all cricket lovers in Australia and India are awaiting the 2008 series with great anticipation,'' he said.
