Alliance partners should withdraw support from UPA: Uma
Jabalpur, Apr 9 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ) President Uma Bharti today said alliance partners of the United Progressive Alliance Government should withdraw support from it with immediate effect paving way for general election over its failure to control inflation.
''Unprecedented inflation is being witnessed in the country.
Faulty central policies are responsible for this,'' Ms Bharti told reporters here, adding that the Centre did not possess any scheme for controlling inflation.
She said she would stage a demonstration along with party office bearers to express solidarity to people of Tibet along the Indore-Tibet border on April 15. The Centre was adopting lax attitude towards the Tibet issue.
Ms Bharti said she had received information about the Centre granting technical approval to demolish the 'Ram Setu'.
Raising question on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's affection for 'dalits', the sadhvi said Mr Gandhi should invite dalits at home and visit their homes and share food with them if it was true.
On former Union Minister Prahlad Patel declaring himself as BJ President, she said she was elected as BJ President by 12 state BJ Presidents on December 2007.
Ms Bharti said Mr Patel has not been expelled so far. A decision in this regard will be taken by core committee chaired by BJP acting President Sanghapriya Gautam. At the same time, she described Mr Patel as her elder brother.
She said there was no inner dissension in the BJ and its public base was growing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. She added that leaders keeping coming and moving out of a political party.
