UPSC declares Indian Forest Service exam (2007) result

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Indian Forest Service Examination held in July 2007.

Of the 40 successful candidates, 15 belong to the other backward classes (OBEs), six to the scheduled castes (SC) and three to the scheduled tribes (ST).

According to the UPSC, the list, declared order of merit consists of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Forest Service based on the result of the Indian Forest Service Examination held by the UPSC in July 2007.

"The appointment to the service will be made by the government according to the number of vacancies available. The number of vacancies intimated by the government is 40," a release here said.

The results will also be available on the UPSC web site, http://www.upsc.gov.in.

The candidature of six candidates is provisional.
