Jammu, Apr 8 (UNI) Two militants of Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin, including a Pakistan-trained 'divisional commander' of this outfit, were gunned down in two separate incidents by the security in an encounter in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here today said.
''Dreaded HM militant Ghulam Hussain Wani, alias Shamin Thool, was shot dead by the troops of 26 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the state police at Jhakyas village of Gandoh, sources told UNI.
The militant was active in the hilly district for the last 16 years, and the security forces were carrying out searches for him in the area, they said.
Meanwhile in another encounter, security forces eliminated a 'self styled' HM commander identified as Haq Nawaz in teshil Gandoh, the sources added.
''The Hizb militant was gunned down by the troops of 63 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Task Force (STF) in an encounter on specific information,'' sources said.
